MONTGOMERY, Alabama – The Delaware State University women's golf team kicked off their spring season at the Alabama State Spring Classic on Sunday and Monday. After two rounds of competition, the Hornets finished eighth.

Delaware State finished with a 348 in round one and 333 in round two, for a total score of 681. 

The Hornets competed against top schools Samford University and Troy. First-place finisher, Samford, finished round one with a 302 and round two with a 306.  

After two rounds, Claudia Hofmeister stood tied for 17th. Hofmeister, 161 (83-78).
