WAKE FOREST, North Carolina -- The Delaware State University Triathlon team placed seventh in the Division 1 team standing at the East Regional Race on Saturday, Oct. 12.
The Hornets finished in ninth place overall at East Regional.
Ava Larkins, led the Hornets with a 43rd place finish, striding in at 1:03:24.
Emma Schloefield followed on the leader board placing 68th with a 1:10:23.
Lison Zeigler (1:10:23) and
Daniell Fleurima (1:13:59) crossed the line in 69th and 77th place.
Ashley Stanley took with a finished time 1:14:41 placing 78th to complete the race for the Hornets.
The course featured a 750 meter swim, 12 mile bike (4 x 3mi loops) and 5k run (3 x 1mi loops).
Up Next: The Hornets will compete in Nationals on November 9th in Clermont, FL.
