DOVER – The full schedule for the upcoming Delaware State University Women's Basketball season was released on Wednesday, September 27. 

This season will be the first for Interim Head Coach Jazmone Turner at Delaware State University as the team is coming off a (6-24, 4-10) regular season and a 0-1 post-season record. 

"We are excited but yet focused as we gear up for the 2023-24 season," said interim head coach Turner. "Our players had a really good summer and preseason." 

The Hornets away non-conference schedule will feature Temple ( Nov. 6), Richmond ( Nov. 12), Rutgers ( Nov. 29), West Virginia ( Dec. 10), and Baylor ( Dec. 14). 

The Hornets are set to host 14 games of the season in Memorial Hall, beginning on (Nov. 10) against Drexel University. Long Island University will travel to Dover on (Dec. 4), followed by a battle of Delaware with the University of Delaware on (Dec. 21), and a New Year's Eve showdown against Loyola Marland (Dec. 30).  

The Hornets will tipoff the MEAC schedule on Jan. 6 at home against Coppin State before heading to Morgan State on Jan. 8. DSU will return to Dover for three consecutive home games against UMES (Jan. 20), SCSU (Jan. 27), and NCCU (Jan. 29).

DSU will hit the road to Virginia for a Saturday afternoon match-up against Norfolk on Feb 3. 

The Hornets will wrap up the first half of conference play at home hosting Howard on Feb. 5. 

"I feel good about this group and the goals we have for the season," said interim head coach Turner.
