REHOBOTH BEACH, Delaware – The Delaware State University women's golf team finished sixth in the Hornet Invitational Monday and Tuesday at the Kings Creek Country Club after three rounds of competition.
Delaware State, finishing with a 319 in round one, the Hornets posted a 303 in round two, and 304 in round three for a total score of 926.
The Hornets were 51 shots behind the leader, Howard University, who finished round one with a 293, round two with a 303, and a 297 in round three.
After three rounds, Estelle Verny stood tied for thirteenth. Verny, 225 (79-73-73).
