DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State women's track & field team will take part in the 2023 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Track & Field Championships hosted by Norfolk State University.

As the Hornets finished fourth overall during the 2022-23 Indoor MEAC Track & Field Championships, Delaware State comes into the 2023 MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships with the goal of a team title in mind.

Coming off of a very successful regular season, the Hornets were led in large part by
Catherine Glenn and
Annalise Bond both of whom won multiple individual events while also claiming multiple top finishes.
Â
Glenn won the 100-Meter Hurdle twice this season but has proved herself to be a utility athlete having competed in short distance and jumping events where she claimed top finishes as well.

Bond, a two-time individual event gold medalist already, is looking to sweep the pole vault championship across both indoor and outdoor championship meets. Â Â

Freshman hurdler
Chidubem Okwudibonye enters her first MEAC outdoor championship looking to continue making her name known as she has already won the 400-Meter Hurdles once on the year.

Short-distance specialists
Lakendra Harpe and
Khaliyah White have racked up multiple top finishes in the 100-Meter Dash and 200-Meter Dash events while also serving on the relays. Harpe has also competed in jumping events throughout the season specifically shining in the high jump. Â

Throwers
Amber Pelle and
Orianna Moore have dominated all season recording multiple top marks and are aiming for the same this week.
