Dover, Del. (May. 17, 2023) --- Delaware State's Ana Ferreyra Heit (gr.; Mar del Plata, Argentina) has added another major award to her list of honors as Hornet. Ferreyra Heit has been selected to the five-member 2023 All-Northeast Conference Women's Golf First Team. Her 2022-23 season highlights included the second-best stroke average on the circuit at 74.2 per round. She shot 1-over 217 at the 2023 NEC Championship to place third as the Hornets collected runner-up honors in their inaugural NEC season . Ferreyra Heit recorded the lowest round of the tournament on the second day, firing a 4-under 68.  She captured the individual championship at the Hornet Classic at the Creek last September.
During the 2021-22 season, Ferreyra Heit was selected to the All-Southland Conference Second Team and the SLC All-Tournament Team after helping lead the Hornets to a third-place finish in their lone season as a member of the league.
