(Apr. 23, 2023) --- The Delaware State women's golf team is in fourth place out of 11 schools after the opening round of the 2023 Northeast Conference Women's Golf Championship at the LPGA International Hill Course in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Hornets posted a combined team score of 313 (+25), 10 strokes behind first place Sacred Heart (303; +15). Merrimack is second at 312 (+24) and Howard is third at 312 (+24), just one shot ahead of Delaware State.
Individually, Anna Ferreyra-Heit is tops on the Hornets and tied for seventh among 55 competitors with an opening round score of 76 (+4). She's in a four-way tie for seventh, but just one shot behind a group of three in a tie for fourth, and two shots from the day-one third place finisher.

th; 80) are also in the top 20 after the opening round.
