Box Score 2 DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State University women's tennis team opened the spring semester of matches on the road against Georgetown University on Friday followed by George Washington University on Sunday.

On Friday, Georgetown swept six singles matches and three doubles contests in a 7-0 victory over Delaware State in the Hornets' spring opener.
Noelani Lui won a team-high nine games but fell to GW's Chloe Bendetti 7-5, 6-4 in the No. 2 singles match.
Daria Jula and
Klaudija Lisovska battled to a 6-3 loss in the No. 1 doubles contest.Â

On Sunday, Delaware State recorded a 3-3 tie with George Washington University. The Hornets claimed two out of the three doubles matches. The duo of
Eva Golembiovski and
Kit Yi Kaye Au-Yeung earned a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles while the pair of
Baluck Deang and
Noelani Lui earned the same result at No. 3 doubles. Golembiovski and Jula each notched a win in their respective singles matches to help Delaware State secure the tie.

The Hornets return to action this Saturday for a match with the Patriots of George Mason University. Opening serve is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
