Dover, Del. (Oct. 3, 2022) --- Ana Ferreyra-Heit (sr.) was second among nearly 90 competitors, while Delaware State ranked third in the final team standings to highlight the Hornets' competition at the two-day 2022 Navy Fall Invitational last weekend.
Delaware State topped all teams on day two of the tournament with a score of 307 to climb from a tie for eighth place after the opening round to No. 3 in the final standings.
The Hornets finished the tournament with a two-day total of 622, six strokes behind first place Navy (616) and just one behind runner-up Quinnipiac (621) in the 15-team field.
Ferreyra-Heit was tied for 17
th with a score of 77 after the opening round, but topped all players by posting a 72 in the final round to finish the tournament at 149, three shots behind first place Emily Byrne of Long Island.
