Dover, Del. (April 7, 2021) --- The Delaware State Hornets held their first and only invite of the season last Wednesday afternoon.
T'keyah Macklin finishes first in the 100 meters at 12.58 seconds. Aaliyah Robinson places in second 12.62 seconds. Catherine Glenn finishes third at 12.89 seconds, a season best time for her. Makiya Gayles rounds out the top five crossing the finish line in 13.01 seconds.
Safarya Cheadle finishes first in the 200 meters at 25.59 seconds a season best time for her. Khaliyah White places second at 25.70 seconds and Aaliyah Robinson places third at 26.47 seconds.
The top three places were all occupied by Hornets, who all ran their season's best time in the 400-meter event. Kyra Lyles places first with 56.67 seconds, Blair Daniel finishes second at 57.78 seconds. Khaliyah White places third at 57.89 seconds. Jaz'Mere Harris finishes seventh at 1:03.74.
 Katarzyna Rosikon places first in the 3000 meters at 11:22.24. Her time was over a minute faster than the second-place finisher.
Catherine Glenn wins a one-on-one race in the 100 hurdles, with a time of 14.31 seconds.
Delaware State's 4 x 100 relay team of T'Keyah Macklin, Safarya Cheadle, Aaliyah Robinson and Kyra Lyles finish first, crossing the finish line in 47.76 seconds.
The Hornets also place first in the 4 x 400 relay as the quartet of Kyra Lyles, T'Keyah Macklin, Aaliyah Robinson, and Jaz'Mere Harris record a time of 3:58.71.
Tiajah Robinson place first in the high jump with a mark of 1.62 meters. Trinty Kinard finishes second at 1.57 meters.
Amber Conyers places first the in the long jump reaching 5.45 meters. Mya Bradley finishes second at 5.37 meters a season best mark for her. Sierra Romaine places third with a mark of 5.34 meters. Jordyn Johnson places fourth in 5.01 meters.
Jordyn Johnson finishes first in the triple jump at 11.67 meters, Amber Conyers places second at 11.60 meters and Mya Bradley places third at 10.55 meters.
Azure Patterson finishes first in the shot put with a throw that travels 11.87 meters. Ardavia Lee finishes third at 9.78 meters.
Amber Pelle places first in the Discus at 37.15 meters a season best mark. Ardavia Lee also has a season best mark, recording a mark of 35.55 meters for a second-place finish. Azure Patterson places fourth at 32.67 meters and Ayanna Obey places sixth at 29.03 meters.
Amber Pelle also records a season best distance of 44.53 meters in the hammer for a first-place finish. Azure Patterson finishes second in the same event at 38.89 meters. Obey Ayanna finishes third at 32.37 meters and Ardavia Lee finishes fourth at 31.24 meters.
Catherine Glenn places first in the Javelin with a mark of 36.81 meters a season best mark for her. Also, it is the best mark of any athlete in the MEAC. Ayanna Obey (24.84 m) Amber Pelle (23.19 m) and Tavianne Maultsby (16.48 m) place fourth, sixth and ninth, respectively.
