Dover, Del. (Nov. 11, 2021) --- The Delaware State men's basketball team is back in action on Fri. (Nov. 12) when Div. III Salisbury (Md.) visits Memorial Hall for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
The Hornets (1-0) opened their first season under new head coach
Stan Waterman with an 80-41 victory over visiting Cairn last Tuesday.
Delaware State led 25-2 after 11 minutes and never looked back in the wire-to-wire win in Waterman's debut.
Dominik Fragala led four Delaware State players with a game-high 16 points, highlighted by four three-point field goals on seven attempts.
Myles Carter and reserve Kyrie Staten added 11 points each, while Chris Smith also came off the bench to score 10 points on five-for-five shooting from field, and led all players with a career-high four blocks.
Freshman point guard
Corey Perkins had seven points to go along with six assists and four steals to lead all players.
Ten of the 11 players who competed for the Hornets contributed to the scoring in the opener.
