Dover, Del. (Sep. 11, 2022) ---Delaware State University honors the life and memory of former Hornet football standout Keith A. Glascoe ('85), who died in the Sep. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center while serving as a New York City firefighter. He was 38 years old. Today marks the 21st anniversary of the attacks.
Glascoe was a star at Midwood High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., before attending Springfield College in Massachusetts for two years. He later transferred to Delaware State, competing as a defensive lineman for the Hornets in 1983 and '84, while earning a degree in Business Administration.
Keith was invited to the New York Jets training camp following his graduation from Delaware State. His second year at Jets' camp was cut short by injury‚ although he next played professionally for a year in Italy.
Glascoe later embarked on an acting career, appearing in commercials before stints in "One Life to Live," "Law and Order" and "100 Centre Street." He also had a part in the TV movie "Assault on Devil's Island" and played the character Benny in the movie "The Professional."
