John Crosby has earned another honor to highlight his senior season with the Hornets.
Crosby has been selected as a 2019-20 HBCU Men's Basketball All-Star and listed as one of the Top 30 players for "The First Ever HBCU All-Star Game Experience."
The "First Ever HBCU All-Star Game Experience," scheduled to take place during the NCAA Final Four Tournament Championship in Atlanta to "Celebrate 30 of the nation's top senior collegiate men's basketball players, " was cancelled along with sports activities nationwide due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Crosby was selected to the 2019-20 All-MEAC Second Team in voting by league head coaches and sports information representatives.
The Baltimore, Md., native was tops in the MEAC and 34
th among all NCAA Division I players in scoring at 19.4 points per game when the 2019-20 season ended while most conferences were in championship tournament play due to the pandemic.
A two-time MEAC Player-of-the-Week, Crosby reached double-figures in scoring in 28 of the Hornets' 32 games, topping the 20-point mark in 16 games and scoring 30-or-more points four times. He also had the league's single-game high of 36 points vs. vs. Jacksonville State on Dec. 18.
His MEAC-high 632 points this season were the most by a Hornet since Amere May tallied 671 during the 2014-15 season.
In addition, Crosby was Delaware State's leader and fifth in the MEAC in assists at 3.3 per game during the regular season.
