DOVER - Delaware State University and Head Mens Basketball Coach Stan Waterman have agreed to a contract extension. The agreement is a Three-year extension, that includes a one-year option. The extension keeps Waterman as the Head coach through the 2027-2028 season and if the option is secured through the 2028 -2029 season.

"I want to thank President Allen, Athletic Director Tony Tucker, Executive Vice President, Dr. Irene Hawkins, The Board of Trustees and the entire athletic administration for believing in the vision we have for the program athletically, academically, socially, and spiritually," said Head Coach Stan Waterman.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to lead the basketball program here at Delaware State University. I'm excited by the possibilities. We have made tremendous strides in transforming the program over the past four years and look forward to continued improvement."

The foundation is strong and the future is bright for the Delaware State University Men's Basketball team.
