Easton, Pa. (Feb. 23, 2020) --- Lafayette swept six singles and matches and took two of three doubles contests to defeat Delaware State 7-0 in the Hornets' spring opener today.
The Highlight of the match for DSU was a 6-3 doubles victory for Lolita Kozina and Iris Leder in the No. 2 contest.
Kozina took the first set but dropped the last two, including 8-10 in the third, but fell to Lafayette's Samantha Snyder in the No. 1 singles match.
DSU's Anastasia Belkina (No. 5) and Anastasia Danylova (No. 6) also took their singles opponents to three sets before coming up short.
