Princess Anne, Md. (Apr. 9, 2019) --- Delaware State did not drop a game in eight of nine matches to highlight a 7-0 women's tennis victory at Maryland-Eastern Shore in the Hornets' MEAC regular season finale this afternoon.
DSU swept each of the singles contests in straight sets, including five by shutout.
Anastasia Belkina (No. 2), Cassandra Boltman (No. 3), Alina Polyvana (No. 4), Aayushi Chouhan (No. 5) and Yelysaveta Bessonova (No. 6) each won by 6-0, 6-0 scores.
DSU's Sofia Rachi posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory in the No. 1 singles contest.
Delaware State was also victorious in each of the three doubles matches by 6-0 scores.
Boltman and Chouhan pitched a shutout in the No. 2 doubles contest to post an undefeated record in the position vs. MEAC opponents this season.
Rachi and Belkina teamed up for a 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles, while Polyvana and Bessonova also blanked their opponents in the No. 3 doubles contest.
The Hornets will close out the regular season with road matches at St. Francis Brooklyn on Apr. 13 and Loyola (Md.) on Apr. 15.
