Towson, MD (April 14, 2018) --- Delaware State secured several top five finishes at the Towson Invitational.
The lone first place finish belongs to the DSU's 4 x 400 relay team (Edwin Rosembert, Kiyair Lambert, Gerald Amobi, and Kendall Leach). They finished with a season's best time of 3-minutes-14.44 seconds. Their time also qualified them for the IC4A championships.
The Hornets 4 x 100 relay team (Edwin Rosembert, Kiyair Lambert, Trenson Terry, Kendall Leach) finished second with a time of 41.70 seconds (season best).
Adam Funkhouser finished with another second-place performance with a mark of 4.25 meters in the Pole Vault.
Trenson Terry placed third in the 400 hurdles with a time of 54.63 seconds. Terry also finished seventh in the Long Jump (6.44 meters).
Julian Brown placed fifth in the 400 meters after crossing the finish line in 49.17 seconds.
Aran Lee placed sixth in the Javelin with a mark of 49.70 meters.
The Hornets will be back in action on April 21st as they travel to Newport News, Virginia for the CNU Invitational.
