DOVER, Delaware --Delaware State put together an 11-play, 90-yard drive, culminating in a six-yard rushing touchdown from with :42 left in the ballgame to give the Hornets a 33-28 win over Towson on Saturday night at Alumni Stadium.
The triumph improved Delaware State's record to 3-2 on the season while the Tigers fell to 0-5.
Ui Ale led all Hornets rushers with 71 yards and one touchdown in the contest, picking up 7.9 yards per carry. also added 24 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
Ui Ale's most prolific target in the ballgame was Jaylin Terzado, who caught eight passes for 82 yards.
Andrew Harris showed out for the Delaware State defense, totaling four tackles, 1.0 TFL, one interception, and one recovered fumble. added one recovered fumble and had one interception in the win.
The Hornets won the turnover battle in Saturday's game, forcing four turnovers while coughing the ball up one time, with Delaware State turning those takeaways into 13 points. Delaware State converted on 42.9 percent of third-down attempts on the day. The Hornets also went 1-for-1 on fourth down.
Defensively, Delaware State held up fairly well against the Towson rushing attack, holding the Tigers to 122 yards on the ground. The Hornets defense disrupted the Towson passing attack on the way to pulling down two interceptions and breaking up two Tigers passes.
Delaware State's offense made the most of its trips to the red zone, scoring on five of its five trips, with four of those scores being touchdowns.

Delaware State scored first with 6:40 remaining in the first quarter to take a 3-0 lead.Another Hornets score then extended the lead to 10-0.
Towson then grabbed a 14-10 lead, but Delaware State responded at the 7:00 remaining mark in the second quarter with a three-yard touchdown run from to jump back in front 17-14.The Hornets continued to extend their lead, scoring again to go on top 24-14.
Delaware State continued to increase its lead, scoring again with :00 left in the second quarter to go on top 27-14.The Tigers answered with 14 points to take the lead before the Hornets snatched it back on a six-yard touchdown run from , which brought the score to 33-28 in favor of Delaware State. Neither team scored again in the game.
