DOVER, DE --The Delaware State volleyball team jumped ahead 1-0, but couldn't hold on and lost 3-1 (25-22, 19-25, 17-25, 23-25) to the Lehigh Mountain Hawks Saturday at home at Memorial Hall.
The non-conference loss moved Delaware State to 6-1 on the season.
The Hornets were led by a double-double from Aaliyah Mitchell, who registered 10 kills and 10 digs on the day. Hannah Sanders also added 10 kills to help the attack. On the defensive end, Courtney Nix chipped in for with 14 digs to go with five blocks from Sanders.
