Amya Scott Earns Her Fourth MEAC Rookie of the Week Honor

MEAC Announces Women's Basketball Weekly Awards 

NORFOLK, Va., February 16, 2026 – Coppin State guard Khila Morris was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week presented by Wells Fargo.  Delaware State guard Amya Scott was named Rookie of the Week, while Coppin State's Sydney Burris earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively. 
       
Scott (Fr., 5-3, F., Philadelphia, Pa.) tallied 24 points over three games while adding five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Her week was highlighted by a 16-point effort versus Howard, which also included three rebounds, two steals, and one assist. 

Other Top Performers 
  • Jermesha Frierson (DSU) scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds against NC Central. 
  • Ericka Huggins (DSU) scored 15 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and added two steals over two games.
