SUWANEE, Ga. - Delaware State women's golf finished seventh in the seven-team 41st Thomas W. Dortch Jr. HBCU Classic on Sept. 20-22 at Bear's Best Atlanta after weather shortened the tournament to 18 holes.
Jackson State won the team title at 297 (+9), followed by North Carolina Central at 301 (+13) and Texas Southern at 313 (+25).
The Lady Hornets posted a 370 (+82) after the second round was canceled and every player finished 18 holes. Delaware State shot 181 on the back nine and 189 on the front.
Freshman Grace Agbo led the Lady Hornets with an 86 and placed 26th. She made the team's only individual birdie among the four players' 18-hole rounds and tallied eight pars.
Raegan Williams finished 31st with a 93, followed by Avah Allen in 32nd with a 95 and Stefani Cannon in 33rd with a 96. Williams also made a birdie and Allen carded nine pars, the most of any Lady Hornet.
Delaware State finished with 27 holes at par or better, including two birdies. The Lady Hornets return to action next at the Autumn Harvest Invitational.
