LOPATCONG, N.J. - Delaware State women's golf lowered its team score in each round to finish 10th in the 11-team Autumn Harvest Invitational on Sept. 28-29 at The Architects GC.
Navy won the team title at 863, followed by Lehigh at 869 and Manhattan at 883. Lehigh's Alana Hall and Navy's Jamison Louie and Emma Tang tied for medalist honors at 214 (+1).
The Lady Hornets shot 373 in the first round, 363 in the second and 355 in the third for a 1,091 total (+239). That is an 18-stroke improvement from start to finish, and Delaware State finished 34 strokes ahead of 11th-place St. Bonaventure.
Freshman Grace Agbo led the Lady Hornets and placed 46th in the 64-player field at 244 (+31). She opened with two rounds of 83 and closed with a 78, the team's best round of the tournament. Agbo also made three of the team's eight birdies.
Raegan Williams made the biggest jump, cutting her score from 96 to 88 to 82 for a 14-stroke improvement. She finished 58th at 266 (+53). Stefani Cannon placed 59th at 275 (+62) with rounds of 92, 88 and 95. Avah Allen finished 62nd at 306 (+93).
Delaware State completed all 54 holes and finished with 66 holes at par or better. The Lady Hornets return to action next at the Navy Fall Invitational October 3rd-4th , in Annapolis, Maryland .
