PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The Delaware State Hornets Men Track & Field program continued their season at the Penn Invitational on Friday, January 30th, 2026.
Delaware State men's track & field delivered a strong showing, led by a historic performance from Marian Drazan in the mile run. Drazan took first place in his heat qualifier before going on to take 9th place in the mile overall, clocking a time of 4:09.23. His performance set a new Delaware State school record, while also standing as the No. 1 mile time in HBCU track & field and the top mark in the MEAC.
The Hornets continued to impress across the distance events, as Ian Cain posted a time of 4:14.88 in the mile. Cain's effort ranks second all-time in DSU school history and sixth among HBCU competitors.
In the sprints, Keith Jenerette recorded a top-10 finish in the 400 meters with a time of 48.72, while Alonzo Sims Jrfollowed closely behind, finishing in 48.96.
