DSU Men's Cross Country Take First place in Delaware Sting Invitational

SMYRNA, DE – The Hornets defended their home cross country course by winning the Delaware State Sting Invitational, stinging several MEAC rivals.

DSU school record holder and champion Marian Drazan led the way with a dominant victory after placing second in the season opener. Drazan defended home turf with a final time of 15:18.3. He was followed by sophomore and All-MEAC performer Jonathan Drew, who finished in third place.

Sophomore Nathan Donaldson set a new personal record, placing 4th for the Hornets, while Ian Cain and Da'Shawn Keller rounded out the team's top five with 5th- and 7th-place finishes, respectively.

All five Hornet men finished in the Top 10.

Up next: The Hornets will compete in the University of Delaware Invitational on September 19, 2025.
