HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST FDU
- Craft put the Hornets on the board first with a free-position shot before FDU answered back with their own. It was 5-2 after one.
- Although FDU added two more scores to open the second quarter, the Hornets used two Knights' green cards to their advantage. Downing cashed in on a man-up goal. Moments later, Craft won the draw control and marched down the field to put her second shot in the net. The Knights matched the Hornets in scoring once again, and the visitors led 9-4 going into the locker room.
- The Knights began to pull away in the second half. Gotz drove past the goalie again at 9:34 on a Kristin Sims assist. Although Delaware State's defense prevented FDU shots in the quarter, the score was 11-5 after three.
- Delaware State was held scoreless in the final 15 minutes. Green caused five of her six defensive turnovers in the fourth quarter alone. FDU had five failed clears and a shot-clock violation in the quarter as well. But, the Knights won 13-5.
