DOVER, Delaware --The Delaware State Hornets were not able to score a run against North Carolina Central pitcher J. Davis on Saturday and were shut out 1-0 by the Eagles.
K. Rodriguez (5-4) got the ball to start for Delaware State (21-21, 9-9) and took the loss. The right-hander went seven innings, giving up one run on five hits, allowing no walks and striking out four.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Delaware State did not advance a runner past second base in the game. The Hornets went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the seventh, when E. Crowe made it into scoring position with one out.
