Cain started 41 of 42 games. She posted a .281 batting average, tallying 32 hits, 22 runs, 2 doubles, 1 triple, and 20 RBIs — ranking second on the team in both runs and RBIs, and tied for third in triples. She led the team with 15 walks and recorded 21 putouts defensively. Cain delivered a standout performance against Virginia Union on February 18, going 3-for-3 at the plate and matching her season-high with 3 RBIs).

High School: Cain was a First Team All-State selection in softball at Lake Forest High School.
