GAME 1 | Delaware State 6, Chestnut Hill 3
DOVER, Del. --The Delaware State Hornets broke through after a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning to defeat the Chestnut Hill Griffins 6-3 Wednesday.
R. Stanley (2-2) got the win out of the bullpen for Delaware State (7-9). The right-hander went three shutout innings, giving up two hits, no walks and striking out one. K. Rodriguez also pitched well, going one shutout inning while allowing one hit, walking none and striking out two.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 3-0, the Hornets first put runs on the board in the fourth inning. A. Santana drove in two runs for Delaware State with a single, that scored K. Lester and M. King.
The Hornets kept the deficit at 3-2 before tying the score in the fifth. Delaware State scored once on an RBI single off the bat of K. Cain, which evened the score at 3-3.
That 3-3 tie turned into a 6-3 Delaware State lead in the sixth. The score remained 6-3 for the rest of the game, as Delaware State held on for the win.

DOVER, Del. --K. Rodriguez, A. Fonollosa and D. Carlson combined to throw a shutout on Wednesday as the Delaware State Hornets blanked the Chestnut Hill Griffins 11-0.
Rodriguez (2-1) started and picked up the win for Delaware State (8-9), going three shutout innings while giving up one hit, walking none, and striking out three. Fonollosa was dealing out of the bullpen as well, going one shutout inning without allowing a hit.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hornets took the lead for good in the first, scoring for the first time in the inning. Delaware State's offense started clicking and put up five runs, including a two-run single off the bat of C. Martin and a two-run single from K. Lester.
The Hornets also added runs in the second, third, and fourth innings on the way to the 11-0 victory.
