NORFOLK, Va., Feb.5, 2025 – Delaware State University Junior Christopher Johnson was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Track Athlete of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola. 

Johnson (Jr., Willingboro, N.J.) won the shot put with a throw of 16.22m at the Rutgers Scarlet Knight Open, securing his third consecutive victory and placing him first in the MEAC in the shot-put even. In the Gotham Cup Invitational, He set a new Delaware State school record in the Shot Put throwing 16.54 meters. Prior to the Gotham Cup and Rutgers Scarlet Kinghts Open Invitational, Johnson took first place in the Spartan invitational.
