NORFOLK, VA -- On February 23rd-24th, the DSU Men's and Women's Track & Field Program competed in the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Championship.
On the men's side, the Hornets kicked off the championship by dominating the competition in the Distance Medley Relay. Ian Cain, Marian Drazan, Alonzo Sims Jr., and Da'Shawn Keller took 1st place in the Distance Medley Relay with the second-fastest time of 10:13.17 in Delaware State history. School record breaker Marian Drazan continued to solidify his legacy in Delaware State history by earning second place in the 3000m Run with a final time of 8:25.02. He also achieved success for the Hornets by taking second place in the Mile Run. MEAC Field Athlete of the Week winner Christopher Johnson showcased his strength, marking a 15.83m Shot Put throw to take second place.
