Christopher Johnson and Marian Drazan Set New School Record in Gotham Cup Invitational

Staten Island, NY --  The Hornet Men's Track and Field program continued their season on Friday, January 17th,  dominating in the Gotham Cup.
The Gotham Cup Invitational was highlighted by Christopher Johnson and Marian Drazan setting new school records.

Final Results

On the men's side, Christopher Johnson lead the way for the Hornets setting a new Shot Put school record of 16.54 meters; earning #1 throw in MEAC. Marizan Drazan added to the Hornets success setting a new school record in the 3000 meters run with a final time of 8:28.68. Senior and six time Pole Vault MEAC champ, Peter Kamanu takes first place in the Pole Vault with a final mark of 4.43 meters. 

Junior, Alonzo Sims Jr finished the invitational for the Hornets taking first place in the Men's 400 meters dash with a final mark of 49.41.
