DOVER - Delaware State fell 30-7 to Wagner at home Saturday afternoon.
The Seahawks improved to 2-1 on the season while the Hornets dropped to 1-2.
Jaden Sutton totaled 92 yards to lead the Hornets' ground attack in the game, picking up 11.5 yards per carry along the way. Marqui Adams also tacked on 36 yards on the ground.
NyGhee Lolley hauled in three catches for 49 yards.
Kahleef Jimmison showed out for the Delaware State defense, totaling four tackles, 1.0 TFL, and one interception. Team added and Timothy Scott Jr had in the loss.
Defensively, Delaware State held up fairly well against the Wagner rushing attack, holding the Seahawks to 175 yards on the ground.
How It Happened
Wagner jumped out to an early 10-0 lead, but Delaware State responded with 4:09 remaining in the first quarter to cut the deficit to 10-7. Delaware State didn't score again in the game and Wagner added 20 more points to finish off the scoring.
