CARY, North Carolina - The Delaware State University women's tennis team defeated Howard for the second time this season 4-2 on Friday morning at Cary Tennis Park. 

In the doubles matches; The Hornets secured the point with a 2-1 victory over the Bison. Clara Kuehnle and Dara Jula got things done on court one with a 6-3 win over Nadia Pegram and Imani Jean. Noelani Lui and Kit Yi Kaye Au-Yeung secured a 6-2 victory over Dana Hall and Sifa Butcher on court three. 

The Hornets only needed three wins in singles and got just that over the Bison. 

Noelani Lui swept Ava Chambers in a breeze in set one and a hard fight in set two. Clara Kuehnle fought her way back from a 1-0 deficit, to take the final two sets, putting the Hornets up 3-2. 

Dara Jula came back to win set three, securing the win for the Hornets on court three after Nadia Pregram tied it up in set two. 

The Hornets will be back in action on Saturday, April 27 in a rematch championship match against South Carolina State. The first serve is set for 9 a.m. on ESPN+.
