DOVER – The Delaware State women's track and field program continued the Outdoor season hosting the Delaware State Invitational on Saturday, April 13. The Invite was highlighted by nine first-place finishes.
Final Results
On the women's side, Layla James started things off finishing first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.77. Danielle Fluerima continued with a first-place finish in the 1500.
Catherine Glenn had dual first-place finishes in the 100-meter dash and in the high jump.
Chidubem Okwudibonye captured the first-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles. The 4x100 meter team (Catherine Glenn, Khaliyah White, Leah Powell, and Mariah Winfield) took first with a time of 47.31.
The 4x400 meter team (Kortney Brown, Chidubem Okwudibonye, Layla James, Merasia Johnson) finished off the running events, taking first with a time of 4:09.56.
Annalise Bond jumped 3.35 meters to take first in the pole vault. Amber Pelle threw a 47.89 in the hammer, taking first at the invitational.
