DOVER -- Delaware State lacrosse (0-3) held Eastern Michigan (2-2) to a tight second half before falling short, 18-6 Wednesday afternoon. The Hornets will have a quick turnaround, returning to Drass Field on Saturday, Mar. 1 against Central Connecticut State University at 11 a.m. 

FIRST QUARTER:

The Hornets took a quick 1-0 lead over the Eagles. Rossella Nardi nailed one in at the 14-minute mark with an assist from Mica Lambert. Eastern Michigan added five total goals in the first. 

Ebony Reddick, who scored five of the six Hornets goals in the afternoon, grabbed two in the remainder of the first quarter.  

SECOND QUARTER:

Ebony Reddick started things off for the Hornets in the second quarter with a nice shot from the left, which got Delaware State within two, 6-4. It was all Eagles for the majority of the second half as they scored a total of six goals. Amber Alderman got the last shot of the quarter to put the Hornets within 7 at halftime. 

THIRD QUARTER: 

The Hornets had four shots but were only able to put two, both from Ebony Reddick. The Eagles still lead the Hornets 15-6.

FOURTH QUARTER: 

Defensively, Isabel Gautreaux held it down in the final 15 minutes, only allowing three goals. The Hornets were outscored by the Eagles 3-0 in the final quarter.
