DOVER -- Morgan State fought back from a one-point third quarter deficit to beat Delaware State 36-28 on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Stadium.
The Bears improved to 5-5 on the year and 2-1 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Hornets fell to 1-9 overall and 0-3 in conference matchups.
C.J. Henry led Delaware State's passing attack with 294 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns without throwing an interception.
Jaden Sutton paced the Hornets rushing attack by accumulating 135 yards and two touchdowns over the course of the game, averaging 7.1 yards per carry. Sutton also tacked on 57 receiving yards and one touchdown. Jaden Stewart also added 11 yards on the ground, averaging 5.5 yards per carry.
Henry's most prolific target in the ballgame was NyGhee Lolley, who caught seven passes for 102 yards. Kristian Tate got in on the action in the passing game as well, hauling in five balls for 90 yards and one touchdown.
Dwayne Carter showed out for the Delaware State defense, totaling one recovered fumble. Team added and Anton Ricumstrict had 0.5 TFL in the loss.
Both Delaware State and Morgan State forced one turnover in Saturday's contest, with Delaware State turning that takeaway into seven points.

Delaware State responded to a 7-0 lead from Morgan State with a score to tie it at 7-7 with 13:28 left in the second quarter.Morgan State scored to go ahead 14-7 before the Hornets responded with a score of their own to tie the game at 14-14.
Delaware State followed with an eight-yard touchdown run at the 4:24 mark in the second quarter and grabbed a 21-14 lead in the process.Morgan State then took control of the lead, building a 27-21 advantage before the Hornets responded with a 65-yard touchdown run from to retake the lead at 28-27. Delaware State didn't score again in the game and Morgan State added nine more points to finish off the scoring.
