PROVIDENCE, RI --Kaseem Watson, Robert Smith, and Martaz Robinson combined to score 37 of Delaware State's 48 total points, but the Hornets fell to the Providence Friars 78-48 on the road Tuesday.
The Hornets (2-3) had two players score in double figures, led by Watson, who had 18 points and nine rebounds. Smith added 10 points and Robinson added nine points and two steals.
How It Happened
Delaware State struggled out of the gate, falling behind 36-23 heading into halftime.
Delaware State could not pull any closer in the second half, losing by a final of 78-48. Delaware State got a boost from its bench in the period, as non-starters accounted for eight of its 25 total points.
