WASHINGTON, DC --The Delaware State volleyball team lost to the Howard Lady Bison 3-0 (20-25, 16-25, 19-25) Friday on the road at Burr Gymnasium.
The loss dropped Delaware State's record to 5-10 overall and 1-1 in MEAC play.
Gerren Tomlin finished with 11 kills on the day to lead the Hornets offense. got seven digs from Morgan Allen to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Hornets found themselves in an early hole, dropping the first set 25-20. Howard grabbed the advantage for good at 17-16 in a set that was tied up 10 times before the Lady Bison took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 2 | Delaware State then lost the second set 25-16 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. Delaware State trailed by as many as nine points as Howard grabbed the advantage for good at 5-4 in a set that was tied up three times before the Lady Bison took over the lead.
SET 3 | Delaware State couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Hornets lost the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before losing the set 25-19.
