DOVER, Del. --- Delaware State senior hurdler
Tayshaun Chisholm is set to compete in the semifinal round of the 110-Meter Hurdles at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium and Soccer Field hosted by The University of Texas at Austin.

Chisholm qualified for the semifinal round of the 110-Meter Hurdles with an automatic bid after he finished second in his heat with a time of 13.66 seconds during the quarterfinals at the NCAA East First Round. He joins All-American Leslie Murray as the second individual hurdler to represent Delaware State at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Murray, who will be inducted into the DSU Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2023, qualified multiple times for the NCAA Division I Championships for Outdoor Track & Field and earned his All-American status in just his freshman year. Â

Chisholm, racing at the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the first time in his collegiate career, is the first hurdler in program history to qualify for the semifinal round of the 110-Meter Hurdles with the goal of becoming the first All-American in program history in this event. Â The semifinal round is currently scheduled for Wednesday, June 7 at 7:32 p.m. CT / 8:32 p.m. ET. Chisholm is slated to run out of Heat 1.
