DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State women's basketball team lost a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) matchup 62-50 to North Carolina Central at home on Saturday.

Offensively, the Hornets were led by
Jayla Johnson and
Alexis Moragne who scored a team-high 12 points each. Johnson knocked down a team-best four field goals and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe while Moragne drained a team-high three three-pointers.

Tyshonne Tollie grabbed eight rebounds while
Savannah Brooks took the ball away four times.

With three Eagles in double-digit points, North Carolina Central University was led by Kimeira Burks who led all scorers with 17 behind a game-high 6-of-12 shooting from the field.
