Dover, Del, (Feb. 1, 2023) --- Delaware State head track and field /cross country head coach Stephen Kimes has announced that Xander Roberts of Pleasantville, N.J. (Pleasantville) has signed to attend the University and compete for the Hornets beginning in the 2023-24 school year. According to Kimes, Roberts currently has the fifth fastest time in the U.S. in the 500 meters, and holds the Southern New Jersey record in the event.
Roberts is also coached by former Delaware State track and field standout Alan Laws, a New Jersey State Trooper who has earned the title of "Fastest Law Enforcement Officer in the U.S."
