DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State women's basketball team dropped a 40-26 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) contest to Norfolk State at home Monday night.

Freshman guard
Savannah Brooks led the Hornets finishing one point and one rebound shy of a double-double with a game-high nine points followed by nine rebounds.

Alexis Moragne added six points and six rebounds while
Jessica Martino and
Deyonce Thompson chipped in with four points each.

The Spartans were led by Camille Downs who notched a team-best eight points while grabbing eight rebounds.

Delaware State will begin a three-game away stand in MEAC competition starting with a visit to University of Maryland Eastern Shore this Saturday. Tipoff from Hytche Arena is currently scheduled for 2 p.m.
