PRINCESS ANNE, Md. --- The Delaware State women's basketball team earned a 68-60 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) victory over University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) on Saturday.

The Hornets were led by senior guard
Alexis Moragne who scored a game-high 21 points powered by a game-best five three-pointers. Moragne was a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity stripe.

Savannah Brooks,
Jessica Martino and
Tyshonne Tollie all chipped in with eight points each.

As a team, Delaware State shot 91.3% from the free throw line, 47.6% from the field and 46.7% from beyond the arc. Â

Defensively, Martino hauled in a game-high nine boards while Tollie grabbed six with Brooks coming away with five.

Delaware State returns to action next Saturday for a MEAC contest against North Carolina Central University. Tipoff from the McDougald-McLendon Arena is currently scheduled for 2 p.m.
