DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State women's volleyball team picked up a pair of wins over Quinnipiac and Hartford by scores of 3-0, 3-0 to conclude the Delaware State Invitational on Saturday.

Offensively against Quinnipiac,
Alondra Maldonado led Delaware State with eight kills and one assist for a team-high 10 points.
Malgorzata Andersohn handed out a game-high 16 assists and landed three service aces.

Sydney Lewis and
Karen Cordero chipped in with six kills each while
Alayna Lacy dished out seven helpers.

Defensively
Jasmal Cruz dug the Hornets out of nine Bobcat attack attempts.
Â
Andersohn led the Hornets in the second match with a team-high nine kills and five service aces. Lewis added seven kills and recorded a game-best four blocks.

With Delaware State's two wins on home court today, the Hornets push their home win streak to 18.

"Overall, I thought we did a good job controlling the tempo of the matches. We need to continue cleaning up some things in serve receive, but I think we're heading in the right direction as the season goes on." – head coach Bruce Atkinson on the team's performance today.
