DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State baseball team opened its four-game series against Coppin State with a 4-2 loss on Friday.

Robert Trujillo opened the scoring in the bottom of the second inning with a double down the left field line that scored
Alec Rodriguez all the way from first for a 1-0 advantage.

The Hornets held the lead until theEagles scored two for a 2-1 lead through their half of the fifth frame.
Krew Bouldin would go on to tie the game at 2 in the bottom of the inning when he belted a double into center field scoring
Trey Paige. Â

Coppin State took the lead in the top of the ninth by way of a two-run single stealing the away win.

Paige and Rodriguez led Delaware State offensively with a pair of hits each.

Delaware State and Coppin State resume the series at Bob Reed Field tomorrow with a seven-inning doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. Â
