Dover, Del. (Mar. 23, 2022) – St. Francis (Pa.) scored 10 unanswered goals to highlight its 17-7 victory over Delaware State at Alumni Stadium today.
Autumn McHenry scored a goal and assisted on six others for a game-high seven points, while Lizzie Fisher tallied four goals and two assists for six points to lead the Red Flash.
Rosella Nardi led Delaware State with three goals and
Emmy McGill added two. Nardi has eight goals in the last two games.
The Hornets opened the scoring on a goal by
Mica Lambert just eighty seconds into the contest.
St. Francis answered with a 10-goal run to open up a nine-goal lead. Fisher scored four of the first six goals and Julea Jamison struck twice during the Red Flash rally.
SFU led 11-2 at the half.
Nardi scored her three goals in the fourth period, while McGill notched her two in the third period.
The Hornets return to action on Sat. (Mar. 26) at home against Wofford in their ASUN Conference opener. Game time is set for 12:00 p.m. Delaware State will honor its senior players before the game.
