DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State University women's basketball team fell short in an 83-49 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) contest to the Howard Bison on Monday.
Â
Redshirt-senior guard
Janasia Law and freshman center
Unique Miller combined for 35 of the team's 49 points in the loss.
Â
Miller broke her own personal record in points dropping 19 on 5-of-9 shooting from the field and was a perfect (and game-high) 9-for-9 from the charity stripe. Along with her game-best nine boards, she notched two assists a block and a steal in the game.
Â
Law was a rebound shy of a double-double as she recorded 16 points and nine rebounds. She tallied a team-high two steals and dished out a helper.
Â
The Hornets will have a quick turnaround this week as the Hawks of University of Maryland Eastern Shore pay a visit to Delaware State on Wednesday. Tipoff from Memorial Hall is currently scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Â
