Hornets overpowered by Eagles

DURHAM, N.C. --- The Delaware State University women's basketball team lost a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) contest, 73-49, to the North Carolina Central University Eagles on Saturday.
 
The Hornets were led offensively by Janasia Law, Alexis Moragne and Sianny Sanchez-Oliver. Law came off the bench and scored 15 points hitting a team-high six field goals and drained three free throws. She also hauled in seven rebounds, handed out an assist and notched a steal.
 
Moragne chipped in with 12 points, six of which came from beyond-the-arc. Moragne added three rebounds, three assists and a steal to her performance. Sanchez-Oliver tallied 11 points and team-highs in both rebounds and assists with eight and four respectively.
 
Delaware State concludes its three-game road trip with a visit to Orangeburg, South Carolina to take on the South Carolina State Bulldogs on Monday. Tipoff from the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
