DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State women's basketball team finished the nonconference portion of its schedule with a 68-38 loss to Fairleigh Dickinson at home on Friday.

Senior guard
Alexis Moragne paced the offensive efforts with nine points on 4-of-11 shooting from the field. Freshman guard
Savannah Brooks chipped in with eight points, a pair of assists and a team-high seven rebounds.

Jessica Martino scored seven and six points respectively. Â

Fairleigh Dickinson was led in large part by Chloe Wilson and Sierra DeAngelo. Wilson led the offensive outburst with a game-high 14 points and tied for a team-best seven rebounds. DeAngelo notched 13 points and handed out a game-high three blocks.

Delaware State will open up the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) part of the 2022-23 schedule next Saturday, January 7 on the road against Howard University. Tipoff from the Burr Gymnasium is currently scheduled for 2 p.m.
