HORNETS SALUTE LOCAL VETS

Dover, Del. (Nov. 11, 2022) --- Some Delaware State student-athletes and coaches took time out of their schedules to honor and express gratitude to local military veterans today.
The Hornets joined DSU athletics' corporate partner Mission Bar-B-Q at its Dover restaurant to greet local servicemen and women who took advantage of the chain's Veterans EAT FREE on Veterans Day offer.
Among the vets introduced to the DSU delegation was a handful from the World War II era, commonly referred to as "the Greatest Generation."
"It was such an honor to be in the presence of these brave men and women," said Corey St. John of the DSU football ng team. "I believe it's important that we honor their service and sacrifice every day of the year."
The Delaware State thanks to the veterans also included free tickets to the Hornets' Military Appreciation Day football contest against Morgan State tomorrow (Nov. 12).
